This is the day your child presents to the class their meaning of the "Word of the Week". The new word is sent home in a short parent letter on Friday. The "WOW word" meaning needs to be written in the student's own words usually in 3 or 4 sentences depending on word.
Different ways of expressing meaning are great for academic growth. A writing component in the child's own words needs to accompany their WOW presentation along with any artifacts, photo's, magazine, Internet info, drawings, maps, etc.Thanks for helping your child gather information.

Current Events and a monthly Book Report are due at the end of each month.
At the beginning of each month I send home a Current Event form and a Book Report outline.
