Dear 6th Grade Students and Parents:
I am very honored to be a 6th grade teacher at Saint Anthony Park and I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with you.
To share some background with you, I received my undergraduate degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Minnesota and my graduate degree from Bethel College. I received my teaching license from the University of Saint Thomas.
My husband and I live in Minneapolis with our two golden retrievers. Fishing and international traveling are two activities I thoroughly enjoy outside of the classroom. Two summers ago I spent almost three months in Northern Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Much of my time in Northern Thailand was spent teaching conversational English to students from different hill tribes as a middle school volunteer.
I have been working in the Saint Paul school district for twelve years and I've been teaching 6th grade for seven of those years.
Working with 6th grade students brings me such joy as I delight in how much you teach me about our ever-changing world.
Welcome to the 6th grade!
In anticipation of the 2010 Olympics... "Run hard, be strong and think big" is our grade theme this year. by: Percy Cerutty
