Speedball and Manipulatives

The 3rd-5th grade students are now using soccer skills to play Speedball. Speedball combines our soccer skills with basketball skills to produce a fast moving high energy game.  Soccer goals are worth one point and baskets are worth two points.  Passing with the hands and air dribbling are used when the ball is in the air and foot dribbling and foot passing when the ball is on the ground.  The game moves very fast and once the students understand the strategies and rules it is very enjoyable. 

The K-2nd grade students are working with bean bags, hula hoops, deck rings, wands, juggling scarves, and paddles.
