Social Worker
Rachel Curtis
Hello SAP families and students, my name is Rachel Curtis and I am your school social worker. My role at St. Anthony is shared between the special education team and general education/counseling team. Specific to special education, I provide service minutes for student with social and emotional goal areas. For those who do not receive special education services, I collaborate with teachers and support staff to assist as needed. Additionally, I serve as our building’s Project Reach/Fostering Connections Family Liaison and 504 Planning coordinator.
I am proud to be a part of the St. Anthony community. My goal is to help all students develop their social-emotional skills and grow in confidence when interacting with others. Our students do best when they have strong, positive relationships with staff and peers. My hope for all students is that they feel supported and safe when they come to school, allowing them to be ready and motivated to learn each day!
Please contact me should you or your student need additional support or if you have any questions or concerns, as I would be happy to chat.

I can't believe this is my 29th year working with students and families in St. Paul! I have primarily worked with high school students but this year I am splitting my time between Cherokee Heights and St. Anthony Park Elementary schools and couldn't be more excited. Life ain’t always easy: together we will find ways to navigate through it. Building trust and rapport is where it all starts. From there we will explore a variety of tools and strategies focused on your wellbeing and healing, finding ways through current and future challenges.
My favorite way to spend free time is hanging out with family and friends. I also enjoy a good book, a good tv show or MN Wild game, a mediocre round of golf, cooking great food, and there’s really nothing better than relaxing in the sun at the cabin.
