Joel Engstrom

Hello!

My name is Joel Engstrom. I am the math intervention specialist at SAP! I am very excited to be here! My very first teaching job was subbing in a kindergarten room 20+ years ago and I loved it! My wife (Kimberly) also worked at SAP early in her career. She remembers her time at the SAP DC fondly.

I come to you from the University of Minnesota and Hamline University. I have taught full time at Hamline Elementary (formerly known as Hancock Hamline Elementary), Highwood Hills Elementary and Battle Creek Elementary. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and have also been a math coach.

My wife is still an employee in the district as well. She and I have a Freshman at St. Thomas College and a Freshman in high school.  We all enjoy traveling (especially out west!) and spending time with our two dogs.
