Karen Paulsen
My name is Karen Paulsen. I am thankful to be back this year at St. Anthony Park elementary school! I began teaching in 1998. Previously, I taught at both Randolph Heights and Galtier elementary schools. I graduated from Hamline University in 1998 with a degree in K-12 Physical Education. I earned my master's degree from St. Mary's University in 2009.
Back in 1998, I completed my elementary student teaching at St. Anthony Park with Ms. Joyce Holoubek as my cooperating professional teacher. I was very lucky to learn in such an amazing school!
I live about two miles from school in Roseville with my wife Nancy and our dog Atticus. We always have "extra" love in our house though...we dog sit for about 150 familes! Some weekends our house turns into the local dog park with as many as 9 dogs!
My goal in our classroom is to emphasize cooperation, teamwork, social skills, leadership, concentration and respect. As long as our classroom performs exceptionally in these area the motor skills and sports skills will come naturally with practice.
